As health issues become ever more global, health research must also move towards a more universal approach with shared resources and cooperation to bring forward the most advanced research, regardless of its origins.
Every year, significant funding is reserved by the U.S. government and other sources to answer this global health research challenge. Unlike many other sources of government funding, these resources are often available regardless of the national origin of the research.
Despite this funding eligibility, knowledge of and access to these opportunities remains limited to non-American researchers. It is for this reason, and not because of a lack of quality science, that European researchers are often disconnected from these funding sources. In addition, partnerships with U.S.-based researchers are often a crucial route to connecting with funding, but without intimate knowledge of the system and the key players, these partnerships are difficult to initiate.
SRF was created to close this gap between U.S. and European research activities, ultimately leading to mutually-beneficial collaborations. SRF is well positioned to successfully present collaborative solutions and streamline grant applications to these agencies and facilitate the success of their missions. SRF is able to deliver these solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
